Adelynn's Prayers

I always love hearing Addie's prayers to Jesus.  It is so fun to get a little glimpse of her heart. Lately she has been saying at the end of her prayers, "Thank you for this wonderful day and I will never let go of you." So sweet.

Arizona Highlights

Here are some other fun pictures from our trip.  I am not sure why, but we don't have any pictures of my sister - I promise she was there.
Addie getting ANOTHER treat from Uncle Jason :)!!
So this morning was awesome!  My sister came and picked up Adelynn as soon as she woke up, which I think was before 7am.  Then the two of them walked to a nearby park and after a while headed back to the apartments to pick up Uncle Jason and Eiley.  Then they went to the mall that had these fun fountains to run through.  Cordell and I slept in until 11am (I had to feed Eiley a couple of times, but still!)  How fun was that!  We haven't slept in like that together since before kids - thanks Aunt Laura!
The reason for our trip...  Cordell was installing 4 computers in the first "test" Doctor's office for the new start-up he is working for.  He worked until about midnight every night because he had to be in the office after hours.  I will blog more on his new company later.
An attempt at a photo with Grammy Bev and her two Great Grand Kids.
Great Grammy Bev and Eiley Jane.
Keri, my cousin Matt's wife holding Eiley.
Aunt Susie and my cousin Kathryn Jane with Eiley Jane!

Uncle Jason peeking in on Eiley!

Sorry Laura and Jane, I don't know where the pictures of you guys are!  I know we have some video.

The girls and I had a great little mini vacation in Arizona.  So much fun! Bummer, Cordell had to work so much.

Princess Preview!

Uncle Jason loves movies and bought Addie her very first DVD when she was only a week old - Cinderella.  Adelynn is pretty sensitive to scary stuff in movies, so we have been very careful with what we have let her watch.  Well, Uncle Jason knew we were coming, so he previewed several Disney Princess movies and marked all the scenes that would be fun for Addie to watch, without any scary parts. Needless to say, Adelynn loved to see all the princesses in the movies.  I think her favorite was Belle in Beauty and the Beast.  What a sweet Uncle!

Eiley's First Plane Ride

Eiley on her first plane ride at almost 3 months.

She did great.  I nursed her when we took off and then she slept the rest of the flight.  Cordell had a business trip to Arizona and we went with him.  It was a great excuse to see Aunt Laura & Uncle Jason and the Arizona Farrar's (Aunt Sue, Uncle Jeff, Matt& Keri, Kate & Jane). And Grammy Bev was visiting from California.

Photos from Kiddie Kandids

I took the girls to Kiddie Kandids to get some pictures taken when my sister was here and they did a really great job. It's great because you get get a CD with all of the shots. Eiley is 3 months and Addie is 3 and a half. Here are a couple...
We used this one for her birth announcement.

Eiley goes swimming for the first time

Eiley liked the water, although I think it was a little cold for her at first. Check out the short video at the end of the post.Ahh, safe with Mommy and my paci!

Our little fam in the pool!
Cordell had a business trip to Arizona the last week of May, so we decided to go with him. After we had our weekend of fun and Memorial Day, Cordell had to work, but the girls and I had so much fun hanging out with Aunt Laura, Uncle Jason and the Arizona Farrar's! Grammy Bev was even there! We went swimming everyday, sometimes twice.

Hanging out with Uncle Jason.

My Sister is the Best!

Cordell was out of the country on a trip with his MBA program from June 1 - June 12. My sister came to stay with us the last couple days of his trip. We had so much fun together and it really helped the time fly by.

She is so sweet with both of my girls and comes up with the best ideas to play with Addie. Aunt Laura is so creative with play and gives me so many good ideas. I thought I would share a couple...
1. One morning her and Addie were playing "super hero". Addie was "Monitor" and she would go around helping people solve problems. This entertained her for a good couple of hours.
2. I went out to the post office and when I returned the kitchen had been turned into the beauty salon. Aunt Laura and Addie aka Elmosan and Osanna invited me sit down for my manicure, pedicure and other spa treatments! Addie kept referring to me as Miss or Mrs. BaanHofman.  My spa treatment had a special ingredient, A& D ointment (for those of you without kids, this is for baby bottoms).  Well, my feet are a lot softer, who knew?!
3.  Many other pretend games like a big fort with a campfire and all of the food they had to fix, stories in the fort using Addie's flashlight, Store, and much much more.

I wish I had pictures, but Cordell had the camera in Dubai.  Oh well!

Thanks Aunt Laura for an awesome time.  I loved watching all of our old favorite movies too! I love my sister, she's the best!
