Recital Pictures

When I asked Addie if she had fun dancing on stage, she said it was "So, Fun!!" Addie had quite the fan club show up for her debut...Nana and Papa, Aunt Amanda, Uncle Justin, Aunt Cora and her little cousin Grace (her biggest fan, who kept saying, "Addie. Dance. More."), Uncle Jason, Nicole, Kearsten and of course Mommy and Daddy!

Afterwards, we all went and got ice cream to celebrate! She was completely wired from all the excitement and attention!
Backstage before the recital, the girls were praying for the performance.
Little ballerinas - Adelynn and her friend Emma.

All of those flowers for such a little girl!
Adelynn and Kearsten, our friend from Pleasanton that lives with us. Adelynn is excited to be a flower girl in her wedding in July.
Fun with Nana & Papa!
Uncle Jason and his little neice!
At this point, Adelynn was getting a little sick of pictures, but I thought it still turned out cute!
Cuddling with Nicole!

Addie's Dance Recital Video

Here is the video from Adelynn's ballet recital on Monday night. We were so proud of our little ballerina! I haven't been able to edit the video, so the first 30 seconds it is dark and the girls are lining up on stage. As soon as the lights turn on there is Addie, center stage, a little distracted by the bright lights. Then she runs over to the right side of the screen, three from the end. There are a couple of seconds where you can't see her and then she pops out again and sees Uncle Jason and Daddy and just has to wave.

Hope you enjoy, we sure did!

Children Obey Your Parents!!

On Monday morning of last week, Adelynn and I were eating breakfast and I thought it would be fun to work on memorizing a verse together. Last year in a Bible Study called, "Shepherding Your Child's Heart," the author suggested that Ephesians 6:1 should be the first verse that children memorize. (Crazy that I remembered that!!)

Anyway, I couldn't believe how fast she learned it. We only went over it a couple of times and by the end of the day she had it. This video is a little funny because she got a little "preachy" in her voice. I promise I taught her to say it in a sweet voice:)

French Braids

So... I attempted French braids in Addie's hair for the first time on Wednesday - I think they turned out pretty cute! It took me awhile to remember how to do it, but I got the hang of it again. Adelynn was very patient with Mommy.

Basement Beach Party in the Snow?!!

A couple months ago Cordell had an idea...He thought it would be a blast to go swimming in our basement when it was snowing outside. So we were just waiting for the right day with lots of snow to throw a little "Basement Beach Party." We invited our friends the McCabe's over and we had a blast swimming in the basement.

Hanna and Addie playing with their cups in the pool.

The daddies joined the little girls in the warm water. We attached a hose to our water heater to fill the pools.

Daddy liked that his idea worked!! We had a fun afternoon.

Flower Girl Fun!

Here are some pictures from Matt and Keri's wedding, which was on April 6, 2008. Adelynn did a wonderful job as a flower girl. Hopefully, I will have a short video to post soon as well.
When she started walking down the aisle, the crowd said, "Ahh." I wish that I could have seen her little face. I'm not sure if she remembered to smile because she was concentrating so much!

After Addie walked down the aisle she sat with my cousin Jane (the groom's sister) and got her first piece of gum ever as a treat for doing such a great job!

The Bride and the Groom - Keri and Matt Farrar with some of the wedding party. My brother, Jason was the best man (pictured on the right). Addie did well with the pictures, we had told her that smiling for the pictures was part of being a good flower girl. This was a great opportunity for her to perfect her fake smile :)
Mommy and Daddy with our little flower girl!

It was fun to be all together as a family - Me with my sister, Laura and my brother, Jason.
Matt, my cousin - the groom holding Addie.

Addie dancing with one of her Uncle Jasons (my sister's husband). She loved to dance and didn't seem to mind that they were the only two on the dance floor...come to think about it I don't think Uncle Jason noticed either.
Playing with her other Uncle Jason...too cute!

My Cousins Wedding

Tomorrow afternoon we head off to Scottsdale for my cousin Matt's wedding. I am so excited to hang out with my fam and for the warm weather! Adelynn is a flower girl in Matt and Keri's wedding, so we have been practicing. Pictures to come when we get back next week!
